From waiting to finished: follow an exchange

A practical tour of the five stages shown in the exchange tracker.

A CLEARER CRYPTO EXPERIENCESimple ideas for better decisions.

Before the exchange begins

Waiting means an order has been created and is awaiting its required deposit. It does not mean a transfer has been broadcast or accepted. An unfunded order can often be cancelled, but a confirmed blockchain transfer cannot simply be recalled.

Keep the exchange ID somewhere private. The tracker in this app shows orders belonging to your browser session.

What happens in the middle

Confirming describes the deposit confirmation stage. Exchanging describes the conversion step. Sending describes the outbound transfer stage. These labels summarize different activities; they do not all take the same amount of time.

Real timing depends on the selected provider and networks. A pending transaction in a wallet is a separate signal from the status of the exchange order.

A useful finish

Finished means the exchange workflow has reached its final completed state. In demo mode this is a simulated outcome, not proof of an on-chain transfer. The status panel identifies that distinction throughout the walkthrough.

If an order appears stuck, collect the exchange ID and relevant transaction hash, then open a support ticket. Do not create a second deposit in an attempt to accelerate the first.

TAKE IT WITH YOU

Key takeaways

  • An order and a blockchain transfer have different IDs.
  • A waiting order has not completed a swap.
  • Demo progression changes only simulated status.
