This document applies to this independent local application. It does not replace the policies of a separately configured exchange provider.
1.The information you provide
An exchange order includes its assets, amounts, receiving address, optional memo or refund address, status, and timestamps. Account features may store the profile and preferences you choose to submit. A support ticket stores your name, email, category, subject, message, and optional exchange ID.
A review stores the display name, star rating, text, and submission time for public display within this installation. Do not include private information in a review.
2.Session cookies and browser storage
A browser-session cookie associates private records with the browser that created them. Browser storage can retain recent exchange IDs, interface preferences, saved reading items, and cookie-banner choices. These values support the requested application features.
Clearing cookies or changing browsers can remove access to private session records. This application does not use the local review or ticket forms to subscribe you to a marketing list.
3.Backend storage
Independent account records include your email, profile, preferences, and password stored as plain text. With MONGODB_URI configured, these records and hashed sessions are stored in the operator’s MongoDB database. Passwords and emails are not forwarded to SimpleSwap. Exchange and support records use the installation’s persistent data directories. Access to private records is checked by the relevant route. The deployment operator controls the device, backups, logs, and retention of that installation.
A support ticket is stored locally. It is not automatically sent as an email to the original SimpleSwap team.
4.Configured providers
Demo exchange orders do not require sending recipient details to an exchange provider. If live mode is explicitly configured, the backend may send the order details needed to request a quote, create an exchange, or retrieve its status.
Provider credentials remain server-side. A live provider’s own privacy and verification practices also apply to the information it receives. This local app does not collect government identity documents or biometric data.
5.Your choices
Review information before submitting it. Use a display name for public reviews, avoid sensitive details in messages, and clear browser reading preferences when you no longer need them. Contact the installation’s operator through the local support form about stored records.
Removing browser storage is not the same as deleting backend data. Any export, correction, retention, or deletion process for a live deployment must be defined and operated by its owner.
6.Security and updates
No application can guarantee perfect security. Keep your device and browser updated and never share wallet secrets. The operator should protect the data directory, deployment secrets, and backups.
This policy describes the local product behavior. It is not the privacy policy of SimpleSwap or a claim that this independent project has a particular regulatory certification.
